This piece arrived in the workshop with previous metal inserted repairs to the eight corners of the partitions where they meet the turnings. Where the uprights and long pieces join on the corners is very short grain so they had become very worn and broken. All the previous metalwork repairs were removed and the corners were reconstructed exactly as they were made when new. No other significant damage was evident in this unusual Canterbury
