Extra Note: This piece came into the workshop in an extremely poor condition, at one stage thought was put into whether it was worth restoring, what changed it for me is the overall quality of this piece in its construction and the lovely aging and colour to the top, The under-frame was little damaged except for a few replacement lines and a good clean up. The top had breakages to 2 corners with some wood missing around the hinges and rule joint; it also had numerous black ring marks that needed removing. All was bought back to life gradually and although it is impossible to hide all the misuse, this table is now a proud and usable piece of antique furniture once more. It deserves to survive a few more years!
